![]() ![]() The Princeton Police Department's mission is to protect the lives, property, and rights of all people maintain an ethical environment of mutual respect, trust, and dignity foster a partnership with the community we serve and, improve the quality of life for all within the community. The Planning Department is the support staff to the Planning Board, Zoning Board, Mayor and Council of Princeton. Parking enforcement is a division of the Police Department. The Office of Information Technology is responsible for the oversight of all technology. Princeton residents have inherited a rich architectural and historical legacy that strongly contributes to Princeton’s unique physical appearance and sense of community. ![]() Through advocacy, leadership, and collaboration, the Department of Human Services helps to improve the quality of life of individuals in our community who are vulnerable, economically disadvantaged, or otherwise in need. Human Resources provides support for Administration, employees, and the general public. The Health Department conducts inspections of restaurants, pools, and other facilities to ensure proper sanitation, and investigates public health nuisance complaints such as trash or rodents. It is also responsible for maintaining the municipal financial records, including debt management planning. The Finance Department is responsible for the collection and disbursement of Municipal Funds. The Bureau of Fire Safety is responsible for ensuring compliance with the New Jersey Uniform Fire Code. The Princeton Fire Department (PFD), and its membership shall serve, protect and educate the citizens of our community in an effort to enhance safety and minimize the loss of life and property resulting from fire and/or other emergency situations that PFD can act to mitigate. The Engineering Department's functions include infrastructure, stormwater management, and site review. The office of emergency management oversees emergency preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery. The Princeton Municipal Court receives and files all complaints signed by law enforcement officers and private citizens for violations that occur in Princeton. The Municipal Clerk serves as secretary to the Princeton Council and is the custodian of all minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, deeds and archival records of the municipality.Ĭorner House's Mission is to prevent and treat alcohol and drug addiction by engaging and supporting youth, adults, and families in life long healthy living and recovery. Also known as the "New Jersey Uniform Construction Code", which are the State mandated codes that provide for the safety and well being of Princeton's residents. The Department is charged with the enforcement of the New Jersey State Building codes.
